LONG TERM RIDER REVIEW - Carver CX Complete

We really stand by (and RIDE) the products we sell - non so more as Carver Surf Skates. 

We have been riding since since way way back.. so we thought it would be good to show you over one of our long term riders... The Carver Fraktal CX Surfskate

 

This was one of the larger size decks - with a 16" wheel base - and fitted out with CX trucks and original 65mm 83a Roundhouse wheels. Over the past... blimey it must be over 10 years the Fraktal has been around bowls, down decent hills, off the top of numerous driveways and not skipped a beat!

So what has changed in a decade? 

Deck WHEEL BASE's have crept up over the years, with 'bigger' wheel bases from the current range hitting the 18" mark. 

The CONCAVES have got deeper and more 'foot locking' than the 'Taco' concave and flat nose/tail 

CX Truck geometry hasn't changed - but they now have hollow kingpins and hangers so come in around 50 gms lighter.

But that aside - its still a solid rider, showing lots of life still... so time to upgrade it keep riding it... a future classic maybe!
