Wetsuit Boots - Round Toe - Split Toe - Hidden Split Toe.. Why and What!

Wetsuit boots come in a range of thickness from summer 2mm to winter 7mm but they also come in a range of types such as Round Toe - Split Toe - Hidden Split Toe.

Why and How do they compare?

Round Toe

This is the classic wetsuit boot, a single 'space' for your toes - so easy to fit and a very natural feeling and lower cost to produce.

The only downside can be that they feel 'loose' around the toes and if you are pushing against them hard they can feel like they 'roll' under foot a bit.

Split Toe

Split-Toe boots have a seperate space for your big toe - this means there is a section of material that joins the top and bottom of the boot together, which helps keep the boot more stable and less prone to 'rolling' when you push hard.

The fit can be a little harder to get, and they can feel bit odd at first and the single toes can be more 'exposed' in very cold water, as its harder to seal the seams in tighter shape.

Hidden Split Toe.

The Hidden Split to looks like a round toe boot, but it has a separate big toe section inside. This means you get the nice tight feeling, minimal roll and no issues with the tighter toe shape sealing on of the split toe.

Each type has it advantages, and you might prefer one type over another or even use different types in summer compared to winter - its a personal thing, which is why we stock so many different options, so you can choose.
